The Ministry of Education and Science has published a document (Letter of the Ministry of Education and Science dated 12.09.2023 No. 1/13749-23) on instructional and methodological recommendations for teaching school subjects and integrated courses in general secondary education institutions in the 2023–2024 academic year.

👉 The document states that the priority areas of educational activity in the new academic year are:

• continuation of the reform of general secondary education in accordance with the Concept «New Ukrainian School»;

• implementation of the new State Standard of basic secondary education in Grade 6;

• overcoming learning losses caused by quarantines and the military aggression of Russia;

• strengthening national-patriotic education, shaping civic position, and developing information hygiene skills during wartime;

• education on personal safety issues;

• psychological support for all participants in the educational process.

According to the curriculum, an educational institution may choose model educational programs from those that have been granted the label «Recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science», as reported by the NUS portal.
